On May the 8th 2010 - from 11AM to 5PM
At the lovely
Cabbages & Frocks Market children will laugh, giggle, and get super creative...
So come along anytime and be a bag designer for the day :)
Children are capable of creating wonderful things, given the right tools and a little encouragement.
Challenging the assumption that designing a textile project is for grown-ups, this workshop is fun, super cool, and very popular with both girls and boys. It's a magical journey of fabrics, textile paint, rubber stamps, stencils, buttons, trims, applique, rainbow threads, yarn, no-sew-glue and more.
Children will design their own textile applique on an eco-friendly cotton shopper bag measuring 50 x 48 cm. These lovely bags are made of unbleached cotton canvas and have strong handles that allow your children to load them with books, toys or whatever else they fancy (perhaps some market purchases you make on the day?).
What makes this workshop so popular is that your child will take home their own designed bag and use it for years to come.
