Challenging the assumption that sewing is for grown-ups, this workshop is fun, super cool, and very popular amongst little girls. It's a magical journey of pastel fabrics, buttons, trims, lace, ribbons, applique, rainbow threads, embroidery yarn and more.

Children will learn commonly used stitches, decorative stitches such as the french knot and the daisy chain, and how to sew on a button. They will also use their new found skills and create one of many lovely fabric projects to take home; these include a lavender heart, a scarf, a small purse, a belt, a finger puppet, a hand stitched applique, and so much more. (the pictures here show some wonderful projects made by children).

Before we embark together on a magical creative journey, each child is given their own set of material to work with. Each set contains:

1. An artist apron to protect their clothes.
2. A box containing a large range of fabrics, trims, buttons, ribbons, cotton threads, and embroidery yarns.
3. Tools for Sewing.
4. Paper patterns.

This party theme is popular amongst both girls and boys. Children love the boxes full of colourful fabrics, beads, ribbons and glitters. With little direction and plenty of encouragement, the 2 hours workshop sparks with creative energy and laughter. The children learn how to cut fabric and use pieces together to create a collage, they learn new gluing techniques and some beading (depending on their age group).
