I am truly in awe by some of the paintings that children have produced. I am now convinced that if you give a child direction and encouragement their pure creative power will shine through and amaze you!
During this 2 hour workshop, we explore the wonderful world of Tempera and Acrylic paint and learn about brush strokes and techniques. The children will learn the process of transforming a blank canvas into a piece of art using their limitless imagination and the material they are given before the workshop starts.
The result of their creative expression is truly magnificent (the pictures here show some wonderful pieces of art made by children during a Cool Mummy workshop).
Before we embark together on a magical creative journey, each child is given their own set of painting material to work with. Each set contains:
- An artist apron to protect their clothes.
- A primed canvas.
- A palette for their paint.
- A handful of paint tubes.
- A colour wheel.
- Paint brushes in various sizes.
- Sketching paper and drawing pencils.
