Still life drawing lessons with a talented 10 year old girl…
Sophie is a fabulously talented little girl!
I give her drawing classes once a week and she never ceases to amaze me. She is an absolute joy to teach and is an inspiration to me. Her drawings are wonderful and such a credit to her artistic abilities.

Sophie is a fast learner (surprisingly so) and within only a few lessons, she was able to demonstrate an understanding of perspective proportions in drawing and the relation of the whole to the parts…She really is a very cool girl and I genuinely believe that, if she keeps on drawing and painting, she will become a very inspiring artist.
Here is some of the drawings we have been doing together. Each of these was completed in one session…How cool is that?!

It is amazing,sophie!I am so happy for her .I also miss her ,we had lots of fun when she visited China with her family!
I have always been impressed with Sophie’s art work ~ when she was much younger her pictures were full of colour, detail and life. I hadn’t realised just how much her special gift had matured ~ these pictures are fantastic, well done Sophie and good job ‘teacher’! I have already showed them to some visitors and no one could believe that they had been produced by a 10 year old! I wondered if there is an art club at school where Sophie could even give a few lessons herself and pass on some of the skills she’s learning. Either way keep it up both you and I look forward to seeing more pieces of art up on the web and elsewhere!
